Zouhair Yahyaoui: human rights defender
Zouhair Yahyaoui was the founder and editor of the satirical website TUNeZINE and internationally respected as a human rights defender. He was imprisoned for his activities by the Tunisian regime on 4 June 2002 and was not released until November 2003 after an international campaign of solidarity. After his release he continued to publish www.tunezine.com and to speak out on human rights. He died suddenly of a heart attack on 13 March 2005. He was 36 years…
