New classes are being launched to teach UK business people about Indian etiquette after a series of “mini-disasters” involving hapless executives.

Sure that UK business people also may enjoy the “Social experience and lifestyle that celebrates the essence of sensual pleasure” called Amora .

Following his recent meeting with Kadhafi, Democrat senator Joseph Biden, a highly influential member of the Senate’s foreign relations committee, said the Libyan leader ?

“Is the most intelligent man I have ever met.”

But sure ! What a (free) compliment :

With active backing from Saif El Islam, son of Muammer Kadhafi, Abdallah Badri (Morocco’s leading oil official) and prime minister Shukri Ghanem have managed to push through an American takeover of a good chunk of Libya’s oil industry !!!

Out of 15 new blocks awarded in a licensing round, 11 went to American operators, principally to Occidental Petroleum (nine in all, four of them in conjunction with Australia’s Woodside) but also to Amerada Hess Corp (one) and Chevron (one). Others awarded acreage were Petrobras (Brazil), Medco (Indonesia), India Ltd., Verenex Energy Inc (Canada) and Sonatrach (Algeria).

European’s majors like Gaz de France, Total, Repsol, BP and Agip went away empty-handed. Luckier in March when a second round will be staged ?

It’s very strange to see that is there no Italian company, Italy government has very good relationship with Kadhafi from the last year, maybe more interested about resolve emigration problems than get some oil…

“The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world.”

How will some 500 company chairmen and chief executives, 23 heads of state, 72 cabinet ministers, 35 ambassadors, 172 academics and 26 religious leaders improve the state of the world ?

Oldies will try with the help of the Young Global Leaders team presented as future top peoples (they are already at the top, but), we can have some doubt about how they “together will build a better future” for planet hearth :

- Jonathan Soros
- Miguel Forbes
- Aditya Mittal
- Tony O’Reilly junior (sir Anthony heir)
- Aerin Lauder
- Nathaniel Rothschild

What a great team ! Don’t you think ?

Notes:
The Nomination Committee includes :
- Arthur Sulzberger Chairman and Publisher, The New York Times, USA
- James R. Murdoch Chief Executive Officer, British Sky Broadcasting Group Plc, United Kingdom
- Steve Forbes President and Chief Executive Officer, Forbes Inc., USA

Thanks father…

This news from Italy recall the story of Romeo & Juliet, a sad story in this case ’cause Ettore lost his hope of his wife waking from coma and kill himself, for real.

A more romantic and lovely story than this one about a woman killed herself because lost everything betting on the 53 at the Venice wheel (national lottery). A number missing for the last 178 appointments (and what about probability?) and on which players in Rome have already bet 300 million Euro, Milan a little less and Naples 200.

All this money goes directly to the Italian Government that hit jackpot with lucky 53, this will help for the Berlusconi’s “finanziaria“. From 2005 lottery winners are taxed 6% on earned money. It was 3% on 2004…
